The people of these regions believed in the Norse Gods and Christianity. The Norse mythology consists of tales of multiple deities, beings, and heroes told in Pagan times. These tales reflect on a world in which human survival was often threatened by the environment which was usually was depicted as depressing and burdened. These regions had long, cold winters, short growing seasons, and little to none medical experience. Based on these myths, the people of these regions believed that fate was predetermined. Unlike the Greek mythology, the Norse gods involve themselves with humans on occasions. These tales introduce the conflict between good and evil but the destiny of the universe ends in inevitable death of gods and men.
